Our container event app, Eventpedia Go!, is now officially renamed to Eventpedia.
Apple announced a policy change in its App Store review guidelines back in June 2017 at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Its reasoning for such change is to declutter the App Store and reduce the number of white-labeled apps. (You can learn more details about this decision by reading Understanding the Impact of Apple's New Review Guidelines on Event Apps.)
To align with Apple's vision, we have made some major changes - We've officially renamed Eventpedia Go! (our original container app) to Eventpedia. In other words, Eventpedia now is an Apple-approved container app and fully compliant with Apple's Guidelines 4.2.6 and 4.3.
Eventpedia Go!, first launched in December 2015, was designed to be a container app structure with a simple app creation process. The idea of the container app is that the app is already available on the App Store and Google Play thus no app submission process is required. Event organizers do not have to invest energy in creating store-specific graphics (ex: app icons, feature graphic on Google Play, etc.) and wait for approval by the app stores. In addition, event organizers can upload the data to our content management portal, publish data, and access their events in Eventpedia app instantly. Eventpedia Go! had been a great option for event planners who had a tight deadline and/or had a limited budget to produce an event app. Now, with Eventpedia Go! being renamed to Eventpedia, our clients will continue to benefit from all the advantages a container app offers.
This product structure and name adjustment are required in order to guarantee our mobile app offerings are compliant with the latest store policies and ensure our event technology help our clients keep on providing extraordinary event experiences for their attendees. Eventpedia is now available on the App Store and Google Play.
