Matchmaking feature in Eventpedia’s mobile event apps aims to increase attendee networking opportunities and enhance event experience.
McLean, Virginia – July 19, 2017
Eventpedia, the event technology and mobile apps provider, today unveiled a new feature, Matchmaking, which will help attendees to expand networks and create more business opportunities for exhibitors.
Individuals attend events to network and make meaningful connections in addition to learning industry trends and best practices. However, many events struggle to provide enough networking opportunities to maximize attendee experience. Eventpedia’s Matchmaking is designed to help event organizers overcome this challenge by bringing people together based on their interests and further increase engagement at meetings and conferences. The feature will match attendees in three aspects including:
- Match attendees with exhibitors: Attendees will be connected with exhibitors regarding the specific products/services they are looking for. Participants can further request a meeting with exhibitors and save time wandering on the show floor. As a result, exhibitors will receive higher quality leads to increase ROI.
- Match attendees with other participants: The event mobile app facilitates the matching process to connect event goers who may have the same interests. They can then make contacts by chatting via the app and scheduling a time to meet up in-person to collaborate.
- Match attendees with sessions: Instead of scrolling through the entire conference schedule, the app shows a list of sessions based on the topics individuals are interested in to make the schedule planning a breeze for everyone.
“At Eventpedia, delivering values to our clients is our mission,” said TJ Sun, President and CEO of Eventpedia. “With Matchmaking functionality, our clients will be able to bring added value to attendees and exhibitors participating at the event. Attendees can better spend their time networking with others rather than getting lost with a sea of information. Exhibitors can walk away with leads who are looking for products and services they offer. We are excited our clients can make their events a memorable experience for their event participants.”
In addition to Eventpedia's existing social features such as Event Feed, Chat, and Social Media Integration, the introduction of the Matchmaking feature will be sure to bring event networking to the next level.
